Hi Layne, Not sure you will recognize and remember the names. We came to you in the Cedarhurst Center about 20 or more years ago, referred by Dr Steven Lomasky, Endocronologist. We even came to your home once in Quogue for a refresher. Since this time we have gone to the Joslin Center in Boston to learn Carb Counting. Now that Joe has Stage Kidney Disease we have been in search of a Renal Dietician and have had no real success. We even looked for you but could not find you. It appears that you are continuing on your successful path in your field, but, if I am assuming correctly, you are not doing Nutritional Counseling on a one to one basis. Perhaps I am wrong, but, if I am not I am hoping that you can recommend a person in Nassau County who has a concentration in all of the ins and outs of the Renal Diet restricitons. We now count carbs, potassium units, sodium and phosphate levels. It is a monumental job for me to research each meal, not to mention navigating restaurant food. We have seen several Nutritionists, but none have done for us what you did when you gave Joe meal suggestions and the correct way to get enough food to satisfy his appetite. In our books we have been searching for your approach with someone else, with no success. So happy to have found you and would look forward to discussing this with you. So happy to see your new book.
